The Stepping Stone - Third Time's the Stone

Hey there, Stepping Stones Crew! 🪨✨

Welcome to The Stepping Stone — Edition #3 is here, and you know what they say... third time's the stone! 🪨

This month, we're unveiling our new product innovation — the Career Hub Platform. It's a one-stop hub that puts everything you need to support your clinicians in one place. Plus: we've got a wild AI story about what happens when you let different AI models run a simulated town (spoiler: one of them caused extinction in 4 days 😬). And since we just made the switch to Claude, we're sharing a beginner's guide to get you up to speed.

Oh, and Real or AI is back. Good luck. 🎯

🚀 The Big Stories
⚡ Feature Story

Career Hub Platform

A brand new platform built by the Product & Innovation Team.

Everything you need to support your clinicians — all in one place. Caseload management, request triage, start date prep, and more — no more jumping between systems or digging through emails. It's all here.

The Career Hub gives Clinical Managers a single dashboard to stay on top of everything happening with their clinicians — while clinicians get their own streamlined view to manage their journey.

🚀 Now live in Georgia! Career Hub is currently being piloted with our Georgia team, with a full company rollout planned over the next month or two. Stay tuned!

💡 Why It Matters

Clinical Managers juggle a lot. This gives them one place to see everything, act fast, and support their clinicians without the chaos. Less tab-switching, more impact.

Researchers Let AI Run a Town.
Grok Went Extinct in 4 Days. 😹

Source: The Neuron Daily

What happens when you give AI models a simulated town to govern for 15 days? Researchers at Emergence AI ran the experiment with 5 different models — and the results were... illuminating.

Claude built a stable democracy: 98% voter approval, zero crimes, full population intact at day 15. Grok? Racked up 183 crimes and drove the entire population to extinction by day 4. Gemini logged 683 crimes total. GPT-5-mini only had 2 crimes, but the agents forgot to prioritize survival and ended at day 7.

The takeaway? Different AI models produce radically different outcomes under identical conditions. Alignment isn't solved — and companies deploying AI agents should ask whether their governance is closer to Claude or Grok.

💡 Product Insight

Why Stepping Stones Crew Should Care: This study is a perfect reminder that not all AI is created equal. We made the switch to Claude for a reason — and this research shows why alignment and thoughtful AI choices matter.
